Trailblazer Games Raises $8.2 M for its Blockchain Game Eternal Dragons.
Singapore-based gaming studio Trailblazer Games decides to go further up a notch in blockchain gaming by planning to launch a high-end game. The game will use the technology as well as the principles of Web3.
Trailblazer Games’ idea was well received by the investors as it raised $8.2 million to develop a fantasy game along with its universe. The game is given the name of Eternal Dragons and according to sources, the game will have a dragon breeding mode and a chess battler mode down the line.
The successful funding round was led by the Makers Fund with participation from Play Ventures, Fabric Ventures, and some prominent names and leaders in the blockchain and video game industry.
The team behind Eternal Dragons is focused on providing value to gamers, investors, and developers alike. The focal point for the team is to develop engaging and entertaining games.
The CEO of Trailblazers, Alex Arias, said, “We are on a mission to make games more fun and meaningful for our community by designing and producing high-quality games that natively embrace Web3 principles and technology.
“Through raising this round with our partners, we can put more investments towards building our first franchise and the technology stack needed to deliver a seamless player and blockchain investor experience.
This way, our players can become entrepreneurs in a new world full of opportunity — to play and prosper.”
Previously, the team behind the project has accolades to its name with massively successful titles like SimCity and Candy Crush Saga. The team also has experience in building tools and platforms using data and AI.
Building on to CEO’s ideas, CTO Bertrand Lamarque said in a statement, “We are innovating on user acquisition, engagement, and retention with our growth platform that leverages data, blockchain, and AI to make the experience smooth for both crypto- and non-crypto-aware users.”
Talking about NFT's, Lamarque added, “Through extending the NFT-protocol we’re creating a deeper connection with players by letting them own a part of the game, whose evolution is stored as an immutable record.”
