Kongregate - Game Developer

Kongregate is a US-based web gaming portal and video game publisher that offers a wide range of games, including over 110,000 online games and 30+ mobile games, as well as games for PC, mobile, and home consoles. In 2010, the company was acquired by GameStop Corporation, and in 2017 it was purchased by Modern Times Group MT AB.

Kongregate's collection of games covers a variety of genres and includes idle/clicker games such as Adventure Capitalist, Crusaders of the Lost Idols, and Anti-Idle: The Game. The company is also currently working on a game project called Bitverse, which uses blockchain technology to give players ownership rights.

In July 2021, Kongregate launched Kongregate.io, a new web gaming portal featuring games that utilize non-fungible tokens. In May 2022, the company announced a partnership with blockchain game tech company Immutable X, including a $40 million grant fund for developers creating blockchain games for Kongregate.
